Today is Sunday...

Where could we be?

Carlsbad Gap...

Darrell made a date with the legendary Carlsbad gap.

Team work...

Darrell stuck it and managed to break his board and smash his knee in the process.

Next time...

After setting up a new board Darrell gave it a few more whirls and realized his truck was bent, and his knee was swelling up quick.
Oh well next time.

Andy's Yamaha 79' XS850

Andy Beaumarchais met up with us while we were down in Carlsbad.
So I thought I'd snap off a few pics of his bike.

SHORT CIRCUIT?

68 Triton...

My friend Phillippe sent me these pics of his friend Sylvain's 68 Triton. He's from Biarritz, France.
He bought the bike just like this and didn't change anything to it. It's even registered as a Triton too.

Thanks for the photos Phil. Good hanging out with you.

Curb Killer...

My buddy Ira Ingram sent me this, hands down the best tattoo I've seen in a while.
Thanks Ira.
Check out his site.

Spot of the day...

We hit up this little GEM today.

Peace out nature...

Chad sweeps out the fall foliage from the run way. I had no idea SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA had seasons.

2 signs 1 spot...

Had to lay down 2 signs over some dookie bondo job some rookie put down.

Warm it up...

Warm up ollie is a must.

Danny Montoya...

Showed up. Been too long since I've seen this dude.
Good skating with you brother.

Dave gets out the essentials...

Fire it up...

5PM and already got the lights out...

This Weekend...

I'm so bummed I'm missing this one. You shouldn't.
Go to BILTWELL for more INFO

Before...

This was in the perfect spot for your wheel to hit.
I'll fix that.

During...

After...

5 min bondo job and it's time to get busy.

1st to put it down...

Pat Pasquale handled his trick in less than 10 min.

Rob's a wetback...

Rob put his trick down and Chad got his "Wet" back.
Bangers back to back.

Smoke break...

Posse...

When we first showed up it was just Chad, Levi and I. By the end of the session,
we had a good squad.

Over all...

It was a great Sunday. Pat, Rob, and Chad got their bangers, and the over all vibe was amazing.
LONG BEACH!!

Lake Elsinore Camping...

Went up on Friday to Lake Elsinore to watch Mike Vincent AKA “Hot Dogg” race at the 2009 Lake Elsinore Grand Prix.
After splitting lanes the entire way we finally set up camp.

Poor mans cooler, or should I say Smart mans cooler...

When you're on a motorcycle you really don't have much room for anything, especially a giant cooler.
So we picked up 2 bags from the nearest liquor store and made our own.

$6.00 a bundle? Yeah Right...

Next time you go camping just find a tree, climb it, and get your own wood like a real man.
Tad decided to get busy while everyone else watched.

There's got to be a easier way...

Beat the System...

Not sure who came up with the ideas of putting a table up against the tree, but it sure beat climbing.
Joe was the first one up.

2 men and a table...

Tad decided to help Joe out.

Fire Jumping...

And the winner is...

Hands down Joe took it. He's got style and grace.
Not even a distracting Coors can could throw off his jump.

Good times...

Over all it was a great time. We got to see Mike race and we all went home on the Ortega Hwy really hung over.

Halloween bonus pics...

Ben prepares for an evening of waiting for cabs, getting vibed by jocks, shitty service at some late night diner, falling asleep on a bench, and waiting even longer for a cab home. Halloween 2009 Austin TX style.

King Diamond with a twist of satan...

Darrell said he wanted to be King Diamond with a twist of satan. Turns out kids thought he was Darrell Stanton.

Old guy...

I felt like a dad sending my kids out for a night of trick-or-treating. The guys tried to convince me to go out with them but I just couldn't do it. Old Fart.

Hurry up and wait...

Andy spent a solid 30 mins trying to get a cab to come out to the hotel.

Good luck...

So around 12:45 the boys finally got a cab. Turns out the night was pretty uneventful and they didn't get back till 6:30am.

Pole jammin'

Graham showed us around Austin for 6 days. This is just one of the many spots he took us to. This spot was at a business center and when people came out, we thought we were getting the boot and instead they fanned out.

Reflections of Gaberman...

Captain of the ship...

I love it when DeWitt comes on trips.
#1 His laugh is one of the best.
#2 Just look at this photo, best TM ever.

Beer me...

Andy's was one of the only dudes that stayed in costume for the contest. Web clip soon to come.

I'm hungry...

What the shit is this. I tried to figure this one out but couldn't find one single edible.

Man of many jobs...

Not only did DeWitt manage driving for 2 days straight to get to Austin he did shit like sweeping out water from the run up of this hip spot. Not one complaint.

Darrell and Ben...

Decide that the water is too much, and decide to come back tomorrow.

Last night in Austin...

Nick puts down a hammer right as the sun goes down.

Pack it up...

Time to go home. Over all Austin rips. Tight spots, tight skaters.

Andy Beaumarchais...

This is the first trip I've been on with Andy, Hell until this trip I've never even heard of him.
I've come to realize that he's a ball of energy that needs a lot of sleep to keep it going through out the day.
Good traveling with you dude.

Coming Home...

After a total of 48 hours of driving (Thanks to the captain of the ship: DeWitt) I can honestly say that Austin TX is one of the best places I've been to in a while.
Hopefully it doesn't get blown out like Barcelona did.
Homeward Bound.

10/31/09

Go home my little friend, go home.

Put it back where you got it...

Warm up spot...

Warmed up the old legs at this spot made by skaters.
DeWitt took a good slam, and made up for it by sticking his trick.
Stay tuned for the footage.

You used tires?

All the tree huggin hippies should be happy to know that this quarter pipe foundation was made from old tires.

True...

This Saturday...

If you're in the Austin TX area come by and shred at NO-COMPLY SKATE SHOP'S Halloween contest.

No Comply Skate Shop...

We went over to Elias Bingham's shopNO-COMPLY to wait out the rain. If you're ever in Austin stop by his shop.

2 swell dudes...

DeWitt and No Comply Skate Shop Owner Elias Bingham

Capital Skatepark...

Wind+Rain= skatepark webclips, coming soon.

Rainbows, Coors, and a Dolphin.

After skating the park for a few hours the rain cleared. So we went skating with a few local dudes.

Economy bad, skate spots good...

The one good thing about this recession is all the businesses that are closing down. More skate spots for us.
This was 1 of 4 spots we found that were closed.

Locals

So we're staying in a business area of Austin and the only bar that's in walking distance is Applebee's
DeWitts buyin'

First spot of the day...

RIP...

Someone should of did a mural for Billy Mays, Farrah Fawcett, Dom DeLuise, Lou Albano, and Patrick Swayze

Spot #2

If you ever come to Austin and want to skate this spot don't come at 5 o'clock.

Spot #3

We got to skate this for about 5 min until some BOB came out and told us we were trespassing and needed to leave.

We're from California, we can't read...

Say Cheese.

"The sign says NO SKATEBOARDING and the police asked us to call them anytime we see skateboarders"
"Well lady I got news for you, you're using your phone the wrong way"
I love it when people come at you with their cell phones to take pictures of you, and your license plate. I usually put a big smile on my face and ask them if they got a good photo and if they can email it to me.
Criminals.

Here comes the rain...

So after getting photographed by two old hags we headed to this spot. Darrell and Ben put down some hard ass tricks.
Then right as we were packing up the rain came. Looks like somebody gets a day off.

Element Tour to Austin TX...

Sorry for lagging on the updates, had to have some time off.
Left yesterday for Austin TX for a week to film for SOLE and many other things.

I don't need no GPS...

DeWitt hates GPS systems, iPhones, and anything that doesn't involve a pen and paper.
Maps all the way.

Van life...

For the past 2 days we've been in the Element van for at least 13 hours a day.
Anybody that's in a tour van for that long goes a little nuts, or sleeps. Well Andy decided
to sleep, and I went a little nuts with my camera and laptop.

Sleep tight...

Then he woke up...

I would of kept going but he woke up.

Tour Food...

End of the night we stopped in some 2 horse town to find this sketchy spot and Sonic as our only options.
We decided to roll with Sonic. Tater Tots covered with American Cheese, count me in.

10/16/09

Operation Cafe 67...

I have an idea of how I want my 67 to look, so today I'm posting the before picture, and until it's done I'll post photo's of the
work being done to it.

John Bradford Photography...

John has been a good friend of mine for a little over 8 years now, and he's got skills behind the lens. Check out his WEBSITE HERE , and his daily FILM BLOG

Epic Spots as seen in Thrasher Magazine December Issue

Batter Up... from Ricki Bedenbaugh on Vimeo.

Ben Karpinski hooked this spot up. He went in one day and asked the owners if we could skate, surprisingly they said yes. Here's a little edit I did with the footage. Thanks to Home Run Park for letting us skate.
